FOR LITTLE HANDS

Principle

Less plastic, more nature

SindiBaba focuses on durable products made from natural materials and reduces plastics wherever babies directly grasp or put items in their mouths.

Material choices and construction are designed so that tactility, function, and safety work together.

Materials (overview)

Natural materials at a glance

The outer material consists predominantly of cotton crochet yarn; depending on the model/motif, we use organic cotton (where labelled as organic), conventional cotton, or (only a few remaining models) bamboo viscose.

Wooden components are made from untreated beech wood; depending on the category, these are complemented by birch plywood (for example on play arches/stands), PP plastic (attachment clips/rings), and silicone (adapters).

Plastics – only where they make sense

Technology inside, nature outside

All surfaces and gripping areas that babies can reach directly are made from natural materials (cotton, organic cotton where applicable, untreated wood).

Plastic is used only for internal components that are not accessible to babies (for example encapsulated rattle capsules, music boxes) or for optional accessories for adults (for example PP fastening rings, music‑box adapters).

Polypropylene (PP) is used for these accessories because it is robust, suitable for applications involving contact with food, and can be cleaned in the dishwasher as well as in the washing machine.

Organic – article-based, not across the board

Organic clearly labelled

Organic outer material is possible across the range but is not tied exclusively to a single category; organic status is therefore indicated on a model/article basis.

Exception: in the baby rattle category, the outer material of all products is made from organic cotton.

Certification & proof

Documented for transparency

Organic cotton is only indicated at SindiBaba when the outer material of the respective item is labelled accordingly. The yarns used come from suppliers certified according to the Organic Content Standard (OCS); certification is carried out by independent bodies such as Control Union.

Each delivery is accompanied by transaction certificates for internal quality assurance; if you have questions about documentation, our customer service is happy to help – via the contact form or by e‑mail at service@sindibaba.de

Production & organisation

Close oversight, clear organisation

Production takes place at a long-standing partner manufactory in China. Family members of the founding family coordinate and support the manufacturing process.

Company management, quality approval, warehousing, shipping, and personalization are handled in Trier (Augasta GmbH).
