Language & Guidance

Twin babies in a sandbox, one dressed in pink and one dressed in blue.

Pink, blue—and the question of why colors should have a gender at all.

Clear wording and practical orientation matter to SindiBaba. This page explains how we handle gender-related wording in German and why optional filters are available—clearly, transparently, and without judgement.

1. Gendered wording (German)

To keep texts easy to read and consistent, SindiBaba primarily uses the generic masculine form in German. This wording is intended to include people of all genders equally.

This simplified style is used to improve clarity and to keep content easy to scan and clearly structured.

2. Optional filters (“For whom”)

Products can optionally be filtered by “For whom”. This filter reflects common search habits—often based on colors, motifs, or gift ideas—and helps users find suitable items more quickly.

Good to know:

  • All items are generally suitable for every child.
  • The filter is optional.
  • It affects only how products are displayed, not a product’s suitability or intended purpose.

The goal is a pleasant, intuitive product search—independent of rigid categories.
