1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They enable basic functions such as remembering settings or technically providing certain content. Some cookies are essential for the operation of our website, while others are used for analysis or the personalised display of content.
2. Our types of cookies at a glance
We use two categories of cookies on our website:
(a) Technically necessary cookies
These cookies are required to ensure the basic functions of the website. They:
- store your cookie decision, for example
- enable shopping cart and session operation
- ensure error-free display
- guarantee security-related functions
These cookies cannot be disabled, as the essential functions of the website would otherwise be unavailable.
(b) Optional cookies (with consent)
Optional cookies are only set if you have actively selected “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you decline, the GTM will not be loaded and therefore no optional cookies will be set.
The following services may be loaded via Google Tag Manager after your consent:
- Google Analytics 4 – Analysis of user behaviour on our website
- Google Ads Conversion Tracking – Measuring the success of our advertisements
- Google Remarketing – Personalised ads on other websites for previous visitors
- Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) – Analysis and advertising via Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram)
Our cookie banner deliberately does not offer a subdivision into different categories (e.g. statistics, marketing, convenience). It follows an all-or-nothing concept: you can either fully accept or fully decline optional cookies.
3. Google Tag Manager (GTM) – how we use it
The Google Tag Manager is only activated on our website if you have explicitly consented via the cookie banner.
- Without consent → GTM is completely blocked
- With consent → GTM is loaded and provides the third-party services listed above
We use Google Consent Mode v2 (Basic). This means: before you make your decision, all tracking and advertising data storage is set to “denied” by default. Only after your active consent will these be updated to “granted”. Without your consent, no tracking or advertising data will be transmitted.
4. Changing your preferences
You can change your cookie settings and withdraw your consent at any time:
(This link triggers the function that deletes the cookie_consent flag in your browser.)
After resetting, the cookie banner will be displayed again on your next visit.
5. No fixed cookie list
Since our website is continuously evolving and optional scripts are loaded exclusively via Google Tag Manager, the specific cookies used may vary. For this reason, we do not maintain a static cookie list. Instead:
- Necessary cookies are always set
- Optional cookies only after your consent
- Optional cookies run exclusively via GTM
This complies with GDPR requirements, as all cookies are categorically explained before being set and technically controlled.
